Details Part of the County's Music Service for young people this group plays and performs and records String Chamber Music. The standard of players is from Grade 3 upwards. 'Cellists and Violists are always in great demand but all new string players will be welcomed.

The Cheshire Youth Orchestra, directed by Laura Jellicoe, is comprised of talented musicians from throughout Cheshire. The orchestra performs a number of concerts thoughout the year with venues and concert dates being identified for 2006-2007, including a summer tour of Italy.

The Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra provides a good atmosphere where young musicians can meet and play on a regular basis in a relaxed, friendly environment. The CYTO plays concerts in the Cheshire area, and weekend workshops are held to develop the members musical talents.

Details

A semi- professional orchestra, available for hire to choral societies etc and performing 5/6 times a year in Macclesfield and Didsbury. Received wonderful reviews of their concerts to date. Extensive repertoire, few (2/3) rehearsals.

Details The orchestra meets in Upton-by-Chester Village Hall and was founded to enable musicians of all ages and abilities to participate in a performing orchestra. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and geared towards encouraging the best performances from its members and aiding their musical development. New members are welcome and we try to cater for as wide a range of instruments as possible. An annual concert is held in July.
